Kick off Youth Week with an exciting day filled with sport, music, and positive vibes at the Concord Oval Recreation Centre. This event is designed especially for young people aged 14 to 24, offering a fantastic opportunity to connect, compete, and enjoy.
Participants can dive into a thrilling futsal competition, either by registering as a team of seven or joining individually to be placed in a team. For those who prefer a more casual game, the pickleball playoff is open to all with no registration required—just show up and play!
Adding to the lively atmosphere, DJ Mali will be spinning live tunes to keep the energy high throughout the day. There will also be prizes, giveaways, and friendly competition to keep everyone engaged and motivated.
The event runs on 16 April 2026 from 10:00 to 15:00, providing a full day of activities and entertainment. A sensory chill-out space hosted by ASPECT offers a quiet retreat for those who need a break from the excitement.
Youth services stalls and hands-on activities will be available, providing valuable information and interactive experiences. Best of all, lunch is provided free of charge, ensuring participants stay fueled and ready for fun.
The event takes place at Concord Oval Recreation Centre, a well-equipped venue located in the City of Canada Bay area. The centre is accessible and welcoming, making it easy for families and young people to attend.
Whether you’re coming by car or public transport, the location is convenient and central. Maps and directions are available online to help you plan your visit with ease.
This event is free to attend, making it accessible to all young people in the community. Registration for the futsal competition is required via a Google Form, while the pickleball playoff welcomes drop-ins.
The City of Canada Bay Council and Youth Off the Streets have partnered to ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for everyone. The event also acknowledges the Wangal people as the traditional custodians of the land.
Participants are encouraged to bring comfortable sportswear and a positive attitude for a day of fun and connection.
Attendance is free of charge, removing barriers for youth participation. To join the futsal competition, teams or individuals must register through the provided Google Form link.
No booking is necessary for the pickleball playoff or to enjoy the music and other activities. Early registration is recommended to secure a spot in the futsal teams.
