This unique program offers adults who are new to cycling or unable to ride yet a chance to learn essential bike skills in a personalised one-on-one session. You will receive dedicated attention from an instructor who will tailor the lesson to your specific needs, helping you gain confidence and independence on a bike.
Whether you want to use your bike for sustainable transport, fitness, or recreation, these sessions are designed to equip you with the skills to ride safely and comfortably. The friendly environment ensures you feel supported every step of the way.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and held individually, so you get the full focus of the instructor. This is perfect for busy parents looking for a flexible and effective way to learn.
Activity Details
Each session is one-on-one and lasts 50 minutes, providing personalised coaching tailored to your level and goals. You must live or work in Banyule to participate, and there is a limit of one session per participant.
Bring your own bicycle that is the right size and in good condition, with working brakes, a bell, and pumped tyres. An Australian Standards approved helmet is mandatory, along with runners or closed-toe footwear.
Sessions run on specific Saturdays from 09:00 to 15:00 at two locations: Warringal Park Oval and The Centre Ivanhoe. Bookings are essential and can be made via TryBooking.
Location and Access
The sessions take place at Warringal Park Oval (meet at the northern car park) and The Centre Ivanhoe, 275 Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe 3079 (meet in the car park). Both venues offer public toilets and are accessible for anyone capable of riding a bicycle.
These locations are well-serviced and easy to reach for Banyule residents. Parking is available at both sites, making it convenient for families to attend.

The cost is $25.00 for full price and $15.50 concession. Booking is required through TryBooking to secure your one-on-one session.
Only one session per participant is allowed to ensure personalised attention and quality instruction. Early booking is recommended due to limited availability.
