Celebrate Australia Day in a warm and welcoming community atmosphere with a free breakfast provided by the City of Onkaparinga. This event is perfect for families looking to enjoy a relaxed morning together while reflecting on our shared history and diverse culture. Children will have access to fun activities, making it an engaging outing for all ages.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast featuring eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, juice, and coffee, all served in a friendly outdoor setting. It's a wonderful chance to meet neighbors and connect with your local community in a casual environment.
The event is designed to be inclusive and family-friendly, with entertainment and activities that will keep the kids happily engaged while parents relax and socialize.
The breakfasts will be held on Monday, 26 January 2026, from 08:00 to 10:30. There are two locations to choose from: Happy Valley Sports Park in Aberfoyle Park and Centenary Park on Binney Road in Willunga. Please note that pets are not allowed at the Willunga location except for medical aid dogs.
Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic rug or chair for comfort. The event is funded by the City of Onkaparinga and supported by local community groups including the Willunga and District Lions Club.
This event is free of charge and open to all residents and visitors who want to celebrate Australia Day in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
The breakfasts take place at two accessible outdoor venues:
- Happy Valley Sports Park, Aberfoyle Park
- Centenary Park, Binney Road, Willunga
Both locations offer ample space for families to spread out and enjoy the morning. Public transport options and parking are available nearby, making it easy to attend.
Please note that the previous breakfast location in Ramsay Place, Noarlunga, will not be held in 2026 due to the absence of a community group host. The council hopes to reinstate a third location in 2027.
