What to Expect

The event culminates with Western Sydney’s best fireworks display lighting up the night sky, creating a memorable experience for the whole family. This licensed event ensures a safe and enjoyable atmosphere with alcohol available for purchase within designated areas.

Activity Details
The festivities begin at 4:00 PM with a Welcome to Country ceremony, followed by continuous rides and live performances throughout the afternoon and evening. Highlights include:
- 4:05 PM to 5:05 PM: The Kami's
- 5:20 PM to 6:20 PM: Eric Grothe & the Gurus
- 6:40 PM to 7:40 PM: Taxi Ride
- 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM: DIESEL
- 9:00 PM: Fireworks display
All rides and activities are free, and food stalls offer a wide range of tasty options such as dumplings, gozleme, burgers, and sweet treats. The event is free to enter with no bookings required.
Location and Access
The event is held at The Rooty Hill, Eastern Rd, Rooty Hill, NSW 2766. It is a 10-minute walk from Rooty Hill Railway Station or accessible by car via Eastern Road. Limited free and accessible parking is available onsite, with overflow parking at Blacktown International Sports Park and Blacktown Football Park.
Vehicle entry opens at 3:30 PM via Eastern Road gate and closes at 8:30 PM. Pedestrians are advised to use traffic signals at Rooty Hill Road South or Blacktown International Sports Park for safe crossing. Temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be in place to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Important Information
This is a licensed event with strictly no BYO alcohol allowed; alcohol must be purchased and consumed within the licensed area. Security will check bags at entry and may refuse entry or evict intoxicated or disruptive individuals.
The event features loud amplification and fireworks, so it may not be suitable for those sensitive to noise. Accessible toilets and limited accessible parking are available. Large tents and marquees are permitted only in designated areas.
Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas. Prohibited items include illegal substances, drones, weapons, and motorized scooters.
Booking and Prices
Entry to the Australia Day Concert & Fireworks is free with no bookings required. All rides and activities are free of charge. Food and beverages are available for purchase from various stalls.
