What to Expect
Participants will prepare and deliver speeches based on the theme inspired by Malala Yousafsai: "I raise up my voice - not so I can shout but so that those without a voice can be heard." Expect an encouraging atmosphere where young speakers share their perspectives in a supportive environment. Audience members are warmly welcomed to cheer on the competitors.
Activity Details
The competition is open to Year 11 and 12 students from Toowoomba and West. Each speech is limited to a maximum of 5 minutes. The event begins with participant arrival at 17:00, followed by a 17:30 start. Tickets are required for competing students only; spectators can attend free of charge.

The event takes place at the Edmund Rice Cultural Centre, located at 80 Hill Street, Newtown, Toowoomba QLD 4350. This accessible venue offers a comfortable setting for both participants and their supporters.
