The swim supports the Children's Cancer Institute, aiming to raise $200,000 for groundbreaking childhood cancer research. Expect a day filled with camaraderie, fun challenges, and inspiring stories of hope and resilience.
The event features six different swim categories throughout the morning, catering to various skill levels and ages:
- 8:00 am: 5km & 2.5km Swims
- 8:30 am: School Relay
- 9:45 am: Balmoral Teams Challenge Relay
- 10:00 am: Junior 200m Swim
- 10:30 am: 1km Swim
For the third consecutive year, the event offers wheelchair access and a beach wheelchair to ensure inclusivity for swimmers with disabilities. The swim is entirely volunteer-run, emphasizing community spirit and support.
Held at Balmoral Beach, located on The Esplanade near the Rotunda in Mosman, this picturesque setting provides easy access for families and participants. The venue is well-equipped to accommodate swimmers and spectators alike, with facilities supporting accessibility needs.

The Balmoral Swim has been running for 35 years, with 19 years dedicated to supporting the Children's Cancer Institute. Every dollar raised goes directly to research aimed at improving survival rates and quality of life for children with cancer.
Participants are encouraged to register early and prepare for varying swim distances. Safety measures and volunteer support are in place to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all.
