Spend a fun and educational day at the beach designed to build confidence and water safety awareness for the whole family. Led by experienced lifesaving instructors, this hands-on experience offers practical skills that are essential for enjoying Australia's beautiful beaches safely.
Activities include learning to recognise rip currents, understanding beach safety signs, using lifejackets, and practising simple rescue techniques. Kids and parents alike will enjoy engaging beach games, body boarding, nipper boards, and beach flags.
This event is perfect for parents wanting to equip their children with vital beach safety knowledge while having a great time in the sun.
The day is structured to provide a balance of instruction and fun beach activities. Participants can choose to meet at 11:30am at Flinders Station (under the clock) or directly at 12:20pm at the Port Melbourne Life Saving Victoria club.
The session runs from 11:30 to 15:00, allowing plenty of time to learn and play. All activities are designed to be family-friendly and suitable for school-aged children.
Lifesaving instructors will guide you through each activity, ensuring safety and engagement throughout the day.
