What to Expect
Get ready for an exciting introduction to gymnastics designed especially for children aged 5 to 12 years. This workshop is perfect for kids who love to spin, flip, and kick, offering a fun and physical experience that encourages movement and coordination.
The sessions are tailored to two age groups: 5-7 years and 8-12 years, ensuring that each child can participate at a level suited to their skills and abilities. The friendly team from In Motion Experience will guide your child through beginner gymnastics moves in a safe and supportive environment.
Whether your child is new to gymnastics or just looking to try something active and engaging during the school holidays, this workshop promises to be an enjoyable way to build confidence and fitness.
Activity Details
The event is split into two sessions on Thursday, 9 July 2026:
- Session 1: 13:00 to 13:45 for children aged 5-7 years
- Session 2: 14:00 to 14:45 for children aged 8-12 years
Each session lasts 45 minutes and is designed as a beginner lesson. Registration is essential and places are limited, so early booking is recommended. Parents or guardians must remain on site during the session to support their children.
Participants should come prepared for physical activity and wear comfortable clothing suitable for gymnastics. The venue is accessible and includes disabled bathroom facilities.

The workshop takes place at Waterloo Park, located on Waterloo Road, Marsfield, NSW 2122. Look for the Active In Ryde banner at the meeting point within the park.
Waterloo Park is an accessible venue featuring smooth surfaces and pathways leading to viewing areas, making it easy for families with strollers or mobility aids to attend. The park offers a welcoming outdoor environment where children can enjoy fresh air and open space while learning new skills.
Public transport and parking options are available nearby, and the venue is well-signposted to assist with easy arrival and departure.

Booking and Prices
This event is free for City of Ryde residents, with a $5 fee applicable for non-residents. Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis via the Bookable platform.
Spaces are limited, and walk-ins are accepted only if space permits. Waitlist options are available, and tickets released from the waitlist must be accepted within 24 hours.
