This book club celebrates queer voices across genres including fiction, memoir, graphic novels, and poetry. Whether you are a seasoned reader or new to queer literature, this welcoming environment encourages sharing and discovery.
Each month highlights a unique theme to spark conversations about identity, representation, and storytelling power. April’s focus is on short-form storytelling, featuring queer short stories, essays, and memoirs.
Enjoy exploring suggested reads from the Georges River Libraries Pride Collection, including titles like "Her Body and Other Parties" by Carmen Maria Machado and "Rainbow Rainbow" by Lydia Conklin.
The event takes place on the last Thursday of each month, with April’s session scheduled for Thursday, 30 April 2026. The book club runs from 18:00 to 19:00 and is designed for adults aged 16 and over.
Bookings are essential due to limited spaces, so early registration is recommended. Participants arriving more than 10 minutes late may lose their spot to those on the standby list. If you cannot attend, please cancel at least 3 hours prior to avoid future booking restrictions.
