Immerse your child in a delightful after school experience that combines the joy of reading with creative expression. This hands-on series is designed especially for children aged 5 to 10, encouraging them to connect with popular stories and bring them to life through art. Each session promises a unique piece of artwork for your child to proudly take home.
Children will engage with traditional literacy skills while exploring their creativity using mixed materials. The program fosters a love of reading and artistic expression in a supportive environment. Expect lively storytelling, interactive discussions, and hands-on art projects that make stories memorable.
The event runs for one hour, from 16:00 to 17:00, on Thursday, 23 July 2026. All materials and equipment are provided, so children can dive straight into the fun without any preparation needed. The program is free, but places are limited and bookings are essential.
Held at the Clive James Library and Service Centre, located in Kogarah Town Square on Belgrave Street, this venue is easily accessible for families in the area. Parents and guardians must remain in the library during the session for children aged 12 and under, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Participants under 16 must provide parent or guardian contact details at booking. Late arrivals (more than 10 minutes) may lose their spot to standby attendees. If you cannot attend, please cancel at least 3 hours prior to avoid future booking refusals. The library is committed to accessibility and inclusivity; please contact them with any specific needs.
This is a free event, but due to limited spaces, booking in advance is essential. Secure your child's spot early to avoid disappointment. For more information or to book, contact the library via email or phone as provided.
