What to Expect

Babies Love Books is a delightful weekly session designed especially for babies aged 0-12 months and their parents. This engaging program encourages early literacy through rhymes, songs, and stories, fostering a love of books from a very young age. It's a wonderful opportunity for parents to bond with their little ones in a warm, welcoming environment.

Each session is lively and interactive, helping to develop your baby's listening and language skills in a fun way. The program runs every Thursday, excluding school and public holidays, ensuring a consistent routine for families.

Activity Details

The sessions run for 30 minutes from 10:00 to 10:30 AM every Thursday until April 2, 2026. Please note the event will not run on specific dates including school holidays and special event days such as Book Week.

Bookings are essential and open one week in advance. Places are limited to ensure a quality experience, and only one session per child per week is allowed across library branches. Late arrivals cannot be admitted to maintain the flow of the session.

The event takes place at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. The library is committed to accessibility and inclusivity. If you have any access requirements, you can contact the library to arrange support.

Important Information

This event is free but requires booking through Eventbrite. Only children attending the activity and their siblings need tickets. All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

Membership to Randwick City Library is required but free and can be completed online or at any branch. If you cannot attend, please cancel your booking promptly to allow others to participate.

Arrive 10 minutes early to ensure the session starts on time. The library may photograph or video the event for promotional purposes; notify staff if you do not consent.

The event is free of charge. Bookings are made via Eventbrite, opening one week before each session. If your desired session is not visible, it is fully booked.
