Welcome to Babies Love Books, a delightful weekly program designed especially for babies aged 0-12 months and their parents. This engaging session is filled with rhymes, songs, and stories that nurture early literacy skills and foster a lifelong love of books.
Each session offers a warm, welcoming environment where parents and their little ones can connect through the joy of reading and music. It's the perfect way to introduce your baby to the magic of books and language in a fun, interactive setting.
The program runs every Friday, excluding school and public holidays, ensuring a consistent routine for you and your baby to look forward to.
Babies Love Books sessions last for 30 minutes, starting at 10:00 AM every Friday until March 27, 2026. The event is free, but bookings are essential and open one week in advance.
Please note that places are strictly limited to ensure a quality experience for all participants, and only one session per child per week is permitted across library branches. Latecomers will not be admitted to maintain the smooth running of the program.
The event will not run on specific dates including April 3, 10, 17; July 10, 17; August 28 (Book Week special); October 2, 9; and December 18, 2026.
The sessions take place at the Margaret Martin Library, located on Level 1 of the Royal Randwick Shopping Centre on Belmore Road, Randwick.
Due to limited space, parents are kindly asked to leave prams at home. The library is committed to accessibility and inclusivity; if you have any access requirements, please contact the library to discuss support options.
Arrival 10 minutes early is recommended to settle in and ensure the session starts promptly.
This event is for library members only; membership is free and can be obtained online or at any branch. Only children with a valid booking and their siblings may attend.
If you cannot attend, please cancel your booking promptly to allow others to participate. The library reserves the right to cancel tickets without notice.
Please be aware that sessions may be digitally recorded for promotional purposes. Notify staff if you do not wish your or your child's image to be used.

Babies Love Books is a free event, but booking is essential for each session you wish to attend. Bookings open one week in advance via Eventbrite, and full sessions will not show available tickets.
