Babies Love Books is a delightful weekly program designed to foster early literacy skills and a love of books among babies aged 0-12 months. Held at the welcoming Margaret Martin Library, this event offers parents and their little ones a chance to enjoy rhymes, songs, and stories in a friendly environment.
Join other parents and babies for a fun and interactive session filled with engaging rhymes, songs, and storytelling tailored specifically for infants. These sessions encourage bonding and early language development, making storytime a joyful experience for both babies and their caregivers.
The program is held every Friday, excluding school and public holidays, ensuring a consistent routine for families. Each session lasts for 30 minutes, providing a perfect length of time to capture your baby's attention and nurture their love of books.
Sessions run weekly on Fridays from 10:00 to 10:30 AM, starting from June 26, 2026, through to July 3, 2026. Please note the event will not run on certain dates including April 3, 10, 17, July 10, 17, August 28, October 2, 9, and December 18.
Bookings are essential and open one week in advance. Due to limited space, only one session per child per week is allowed across library branches. Late arrivals will not be admitted to maintain a smooth experience for all participants.
The sessions take place at the Margaret Martin Library, located on Level 1 of the Royal Randwick Shopping Centre, Belmore Road, Randwick. The library is committed to accessibility and inclusivity; please contact them in advance if you have any specific access requirements.
Prams are discouraged due to limited space, so please plan accordingly. The library is easily accessible and offers a welcoming environment for families with young children.
This event is free but requires booking through Eventbrite. Only children attending the activity and their siblings need tickets. All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Membership to Randwick City Library is free and required to attend. If you cannot attend, please cancel your booking promptly to allow others to participate. Arrive 10 minutes early to ensure the session starts on time.
Please be aware that photos or videos may be taken during the event for promotional purposes. Notify staff if you do not wish for images of you or your child to be used.
The event is free of charge. Bookings must be made for each session via Eventbrite, with places strictly limited to ensure a quality experience. Bookings open one week before each session, and sessions can fill quickly, so early booking is recommended.
