The Battle of the Beats competition is part of the Georges River Youth Festival (GRYFest), organized by the Youth Advisory Committee and 3Bridges Youth Zone. The event features five musical acts: Kenya, Verräter, The Scuts, The Avenue, and The Suburban Skulk.
The prize pool is generous, with awards ranging from $2,000 for first place to $250 for fifth place, encouraging young musicians to showcase their best performances.
The event runs from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, with the first act starting at 6:30pm. Tickets are 'pay what you can' with a minimum of $1, and all proceeds support headspace Hurstville, a youth mental health service.
