What to Expect
Step behind the scenes and dive into the exciting world of technical theatre. This workshop offers young people a chance to learn the essential skills that create the magic of theatre, including lighting, sound, set design, costumes, and props. Industry professionals from Shopfront Arts Co-op will guide participants through hands-on activities that bring theatre productions to life.
This two-day workshop is designed especially for students in Years 7-10 (ages 12 and up) and celebrates Youth Week with a creative and inspiring experience. Spaces are limited, so early booking is encouraged to avoid disappointment.

Activity Details
The workshop runs over two full days, from 10:00 to 15:00 on April 11 and 12, 2026. It covers the basics of lighting, sound, and stage design, providing a comprehensive introduction to stagecraft.
Attendees are required to wear closed-in shoes for safety and should bring their own lunch and refreshments as the group will stay on site throughout the workshop.
