Immerse your family in a creative and nature-inspired experience at Carss Park. This engaging session introduces children to the art of collage, using the vibrant birdlife and natural surroundings as inspiration. Each child will have the opportunity to craft their own unique collage artwork to take home, sparking creativity and connection to the environment.
Participants will also receive a specially designed bird-watching booklet created by the artist, perfect for exploring Carss Park together. The booklet includes self-guided games and activities that encourage families to identify featured birds and enjoy quality time outdoors.
This event is ideal for families with children aged 10 years and under, providing a fun and educational way to engage with nature and art.
The session is led by Tahlia Henderson, a talented landscape painter known for her watercolour works inspired by local bushland and ecosystems. Tahlia’s artistic practice reflects a deep awareness of place and belonging, and she brings this perspective to the workshop.
Children will be guided through collage techniques while learning about the birds that inhabit Carss Park. The workshop is designed to be hands-on and accessible, encouraging artistic expression and environmental appreciation.
Parents and guardians are required to stay on site during the activity to support their children and participate in the experience.
