Bondi WAVE 2026 invites young musicians to create the soundtrack of their youth in one of Sydney’s most established contemporary music programs. Designed for emerging bands and individual musicians, this inspiring course nurtures creativity and collaboration under the guidance of industry professionals.
What to Expect
Participants will engage in weekly sessions working with a rotating lineup of top industry mentors including Ben Fink, Athanasia, Kristof Neyens, Jason Rooke, and Brendan Gallagher. Whether new to music or experienced players, students will learn to write, arrange, and perform original music, culminating in a concert performance and professional recording.
Activity Details
This 12-week course runs from 4 May to 7 August 2026, with sessions Monday to Friday from 16:30 to 18:30. Each band is assigned one afternoon per week for rehearsals and workshops. The program is tailored for upper primary and high school students passionate about music and band performance.
Location and Access
The program takes place in the Music Studios at Bondi Pavilion, a welcoming community arts venue with accessible toilets and level access entrance, ensuring mobility access for all participants. Bondi Pavilion is a vibrant hub for arts and culture in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
