Celebrate Book Week by diving into a vibrant, hands-on workshop designed especially for teens aged 12 to 17. This event invites young creatives to explore bold poetic forms like spine poetry, found poetry, and paint chip poetry, transforming words into unique, expressive art.
Participants will then bring their poetry to life by layering rhythm, sound, and storytelling, creating original pieces meant to be heard and felt. Guided by musical facilitator Tito Espinosa, teens will blend their writing with music using an in-house collection of instruments.
This workshop encourages collaboration, confidence-building, and the development of a personal voice through the universal language of poetry and music.
The workshop will be led by Tito Espinosa, a seasoned songwriter, guitarist, and producer with a rich background in music and arts from New York City to Sydney. Tito’s expertise will help participants experiment with blending words and music in innovative ways.
All materials and equipment are provided, ensuring a seamless creative experience. The session is designed to be interactive and supportive, perfect for teens looking to express themselves and develop new skills.
Please note, for participants under 16, parent or guardian contact details are required at booking. Late arrivals may lose their spot to those on the standby list, so punctuality is important.
