This delightful event is designed especially for preschool-aged children (3-5 years), offering engaging stories, sing-alongs, rhymes, wiggly dances, and creative crafts. It's a perfect way to nurture a love of books and music in a beautiful garden setting.
The sessions are lively and interactive, ensuring that children are entertained while developing early literacy and social skills. Parents can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings of the Wollongong Botanic Garden while their children participate in joyful activities.
Held every Friday near the Garden's Japanese Tea House, west of the Rose Garden, the event runs from 10:00 to 10:45 in the morning. The activities are led by passionate Garden volunteers in partnership with Wollongong City Libraries, ensuring a community-focused and enriching experience.
This event is free of charge and does not require bookings, making it easy for families to drop in and enjoy. In case of bad weather, the event may be relocated to the Towri Centre deck or cancelled, with updates posted on the Wollongong Botanic Garden Facebook page.
The event takes place at Wollongong Botanic Garden, located at 40 Murphys Avenue, Keiraville. The garden is open daily with ample parking and accessible pathways, making it a convenient and welcoming venue for families.
