Step into a world of imagination and joy with your little ones at Budding Bookworms. This delightful event is designed especially for preschool-aged children, offering a magical mix of stories, sing-alongs, rhymes, wiggly dances, and crafts. It's a perfect way to spark a love of reading and creativity in a beautiful garden setting.
Enjoy quality time with your child while they engage with friendly volunteers who bring stories to life. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of smiles, making it a wonderful outing for families.
The event runs for 45 minutes, starting at 10:00 am and finishing by 10:45 am. It takes place on Fridays near the Garden's Japanese Tea House, west of the Rose Garden. Activities are tailored for children aged 3 to 5 years, ensuring age-appropriate fun and learning.
This free event is presented by Garden volunteers in partnership with Wollongong City Libraries, emphasizing community spirit and early childhood literacy.
Join us at Wollongong Botanic Garden, located at 40 Murphys Avenue, Keiraville. The garden is open daily from 7 am to 5 pm, with extended hours on weekdays and weekends.
The event is held outdoors near the Japanese Tea House, providing a scenic and tranquil environment for families to enjoy nature alongside storytelling.
No bookings are required, making it easy to drop in and join the fun. In case of bad weather, cancellation messages will be posted on the Wollongong Botanic Garden Facebook page, so please check before attending.
