What to Expect
Bring your busy little bookworm to a supportive and playful learning space where toddlers aged 12 to 24 months can enjoy songs, movement, and stories. This session is designed to foster early language development in a fun and welcoming environment.
Each week, children will engage in interactive activities that encourage listening, speaking, and social skills, making it a perfect outing for parents and toddlers alike.
The sessions are lively and designed to capture the attention of little ones, helping them build a love for books and learning from an early age.
Activity Details
The event runs every Thursday from 10:45 to 11:15 am, except during school holidays and public holidays. It is free to attend but requires booking for each session.
Bookings open one week in advance and places are strictly limited to ensure a quality experience for all participants. Latecomers will not be admitted to maintain the session flow.
Please note the event will not run on specific dates including 9 April, 16 April, 9 July, 16 July, 27 August (Book Week special), 1 October, 8 October, 17 December, 24 December, and 31 December.
Location and Access
The sessions are held at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. This accessible venue welcomes families and is committed to inclusivity.
Due to limited space, prams should be left at home. If you have any access requirements, the library staff are happy to assist with arrangements to support your participation.
The library is part of Randwick City Council and offers free membership which is required to attend the event. Membership can be obtained online or at any branch.
Important Information
Bookings are essential and must be made for each child attending. Only children with valid tickets can participate, and all children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to start on time. Late arrivals cannot be admitted to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
The event may be digitally recorded for promotional purposes; notify staff if you do not wish for images of you or your child to be used.
Booking and Prices
The event is free to attend but requires booking via Eventbrite, with bookings opening one week before each session.
Only one session per child per week is allowed across library branches to give all families a chance to participate.
If you cannot attend, please cancel your booking promptly to free up space for others. For booking issues, contact the library directly.
