Bayside Council is offering a Chemical Clean Out event designed to help residents safely dispose of household chemicals that could be harmful to health and the environment. This free event provides a responsible way to get rid of potentially hazardous substances in your home.
At the event, you can drop off residential quantities of various household chemicals including solvents, cleaners, pesticides, paints, batteries, and more. The event accepts up to 20 litres or kilograms per item, with special provisions for paint and batteries. This is a great opportunity to clear out your home of unwanted chemicals safely.
The event takes place on 29 March 2026 from 09:00 to 15:30 at the Bexley Depot in Bardwell Valley. Residents can bring items such as motor oils, cooking oils, fluorescent globes, fire extinguishers, and gas bottles. Business or commercial waste, except paint, is not accepted.
The Chemical Clean Out event is held at Bexley Depot, Bardwell Valley NSW 2207. The location is accessible for local residents and provides a convenient drop-off point for household chemical waste. Maps and directions are available through Bayside Council's website.
Please note the limits on quantities: up to 20 litres or kilograms per item, except paint which can be brought in up to 100 litres in 20-litre containers. Batteries are limited to 10 kilograms. Only residential quantities are accepted; commercial quantities are excluded except for paint.
