Activity Details

The Chess Club meets every Tuesday in February 2026, specifically on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th. Sessions run from 18:00 to 19:00, including a 10-minute arrival and pack-up time.

This program is designed for children aged 7 years and older. Guardians of children under 12 must remain on site during the sessions, ensuring a safe and supervised environment.

Registration is required for each session, with a limit of one registration per day for multi-session programs. The club is free to attend, making it accessible to all families in the community.

Location and Access

The Chess Club is held at Whitlam Library Cabramatta, located at 165 Railway Parade, Cabramatta NSW 2166. The library is easily accessible and provides a comfortable space for community activities.

Families are encouraged to become members of the Fairfield City Open Libraries, which is free and open to everyone, to fully benefit from the library’s resources.

The venue supports a family-friendly atmosphere with facilities suitable for children and guardians alike.

Important Information

Please ensure that children attending are within the recommended age range and that guardians remain on the premises if their child is under 12 years old. Guardians must be at least 16 years old.

Respectful behavior is expected from all attendees and guardians. Inappropriate conduct may result in removal from the program.

Photography may occur during sessions for promotional purposes; notify staff if you do not consent to photos of you or your family being taken.

If you are unwell or experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19, please refrain from attending and notify the library.

Booking and Prices

Participation in the Chess Club requires registration via Eventbrite, with one registration allowed per day for multi-session programs.

The program is free of charge, making it an excellent opportunity for families to engage in a stimulating and educational activity without cost.

Cancellation of bookings is appreciated to allow others to attend, and failure to notify non-attendance may affect future bookings.
