Reading aloud is a wonderful way to spark a lifelong love of books and storytelling in children. This program invites children aged 6-10 to join a cozy corner where popular children's fiction and picture books come alive through expressive reading and discussion.

What to Expect

Join us for an engaging hour where your child will practice storytelling skills including comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and expression. Each session encourages interaction and discussion about the books read, fostering a deeper connection to literature.

Activity Details

- Age group: 6-10 years

- When: Wednesdays in February 2026

- Time: 16:00 to 17:00

- Registration is required with a limit of one registration per day per customer

- Sessions include a 10-minute arrival and 10-minute pack-up time

Location and Access

The sessions take place at Fairfield Library, located at 3 Hamilton Road, Fairfield NSW 2165. The library is easily accessible and provides a welcoming environment for children and their guardians.

Important Information

Guardians must remain on the premises for children under 12 and be at least 16 years old. The program maintains a respectful and positive environment, and inappropriate behavior may result in removal. Photography may occur for promotional purposes; please notify staff if you do not consent.
