Experience the joy of giving back to nature with a community planting day at Nettleton Park. This event invites families and individuals to help plant tubestock and shrubs in a prepared site, fostering a greener environment for everyone.
Volunteers and council staff will provide the plants, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and readiness to dig in. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and your community.
Children are welcome to attend but must be supervised by an adult guardian throughout the event, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
The planting session will run from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Sunday, 12 July 2026. After planting, participants can enjoy a light morning tea to relax and socialize.
Please bring a water bottle, gloves, and a trowel if you have one. A kneeling mat and appropriate footwear are recommended to stay comfortable while planting.
