Step into a world of imagination and creativity with the Green Hat Workshop's Constructing with Planks session. This free play event invites primary school-aged children to explore building and teamwork using thousands of wooden planks. Watch as your child’s ideas come to life, constructing amazing structures and experiencing the joy of creation.
This engaging activity encourages collaboration and problem-solving, perfect for young minds eager to build and learn through play. Guardians are welcome to stay nearby and support their little builders throughout the session.
Prepare for an hour filled with fun, creativity, and plenty of opportunities for your child to develop spatial awareness and fine motor skills.
This event is designed specifically for primary school-aged children. Each child must have a booked ticket to participate, so be sure to reserve your spot early as places are limited. The session runs for one hour, providing ample time for children to build, experiment, and enjoy the playful environment.
Please note that if you arrive more than 10 minutes late, admission cannot be guaranteed. Guardians must remain in the vicinity of the library during the event to ensure safety and supervision.
This workshop is part of the Winter School Holidays 2026 program, offering a creative outlet during the school break.

Tickets become available on Monday 15 June at 10:00 am, so mark your calendar to secure your child’s place. Booking is essential and must be done for each participating child.
If your plans change, please cancel your booking to allow others the opportunity to attend. This helps manage limited spaces effectively.
Guardians are required to stay close by during the session, ensuring children’s safety and participation. Late arrivals beyond 10 minutes may not be admitted, so punctuality is important.
This event is completely free of charge, making it an accessible and enjoyable option for families during the school holidays.
