Dads Playgroup offers a welcoming and supportive environment where fathers can enjoy quality time with their children. It’s a chance to engage in fun, stimulating activities designed to strengthen the bond between dads and their little ones. The sessions encourage interaction, play, and shared experiences that celebrate fatherhood.
This playgroup is perfect for dads looking to meet other fathers and build a community while supporting their child’s early development. Whether you’re a new dad or have plenty of experience, the group provides a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The playgroup runs once a week and is free to attend. Each session lasts two hours, providing plenty of time for play, socialising, and learning. The activities are designed to be age-appropriate for young children and focus on fostering creativity, motor skills, and social interaction.
Experienced facilitators from the Maternal and Child Health Service support the sessions, offering guidance and encouragement to dads. It’s a great opportunity to share parenting tips and enjoy the joys of raising children together.
The playgroup meets at the Glen Huntly Maternal and Child Health Centre, a convenient and accessible location within Glen Eira. The centre is easy to reach by public transport and offers parking nearby.
Signage and staff are available to assist with directions upon arrival. The venue is designed to be family-friendly with safe play areas and facilities to accommodate young children and their carers.
Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time for sign-in and settling in. The playgroup is suitable for dads with children of various ages, but primarily targets those with toddlers and preschoolers.
No prior booking is required, but contacting the Maternal and Child Health Service for more information or any special requirements is encouraged. Remember to bring snacks, water, and any comfort items your child may need.
