Immunisation sessions in Darebin offer a welcoming and accessible environment for families to protect their children and themselves against various diseases. These sessions are suitable for babies, children, adolescents, and adults, providing funded vaccines under the National Immunisation Program at no cost. Optional fee-paying vaccines are also available for extra protection.
You can attend open drop-in sessions without an appointment, though they may be busy at peak times. For those with sensory needs, contacting the service beforehand is recommended to discuss options. Bring your Medicare card, your child’s Green Maternal and Child Health Book, and any immunisation history documents. Note that photography and video recording are not allowed during sessions.
Sessions are held at Preston City Hall, Reservoir Community and Learning Centre, and Keon Park Children's Hub. Times vary, including morning, afternoon, and evening slots. Appointment clinics require bookings and are available at additional venues such as Northcote Library and Fairfield Maternal and Child Health Centre. Fee-paying vaccines like Meningococcal B, ACWY, and Chickenpox are available without prescription.
Venues are fully accessible with ramp access and ample space for prams or strollers. Preston City Hall is located at 284 Gower Street, Preston; Reservoir Community and Learning Centre at 23 Edwardes Street, Reservoir (parking via Cleeland Street); and Keon Park Children's Hub at 1–7 Dole Avenue, Reservoir. Additional appointment venues include Northcote Library and Fairfield Maternal and Child Health Centre.
Vaccines cannot be administered to children under six weeks old, for 12-month vaccines before the first birthday, for overseas travel vaccines, or if overseas records have not been reviewed. Payments for fee-paying vaccines can be made by EFTPOS or credit card only. The 2026 flu vaccine is expected to be available in early April. Please confirm session times before attending as Thursday evening sessions have changed.
Open sessions require no appointment and are free of charge. Appointment clinics require booking by phone or email. There is no cost for National Immunisation Program vaccines, and optional vaccines are available for a fee.
