This event offers a unique opportunity to learn how to digitise your legacy media with expert guidance. Whether it's your parents' wedding video or your grandmother's 35mm negatives, you can bring these precious moments back to life.
The sessions are designed to be hands-on and supportive, ideal for parents who want to preserve family history and create digital keepsakes for their children. You will receive personalised help from the Georges River Libraries’ Research and Community History team.
Expect a friendly, welcoming environment where you can ask questions and gain confidence in using digitisation equipment available at the library.
This free event takes place on Friday, 11 September 2026, during History Week. Sessions run between 09:00 and 17:00, allowing you to book a time that suits your schedule.
The focus is on digitising a variety of analogue media including VHS tapes, audio cassettes, and 35mm or medium-format film. Each session is one-on-one to ensure you get the most out of the experience.
Spaces are limited and bookings are essential, so early registration is recommended to secure your spot.
The event is held at Hurstville Library in the Local Studies Room, located at the corner of Queens Road and Dora Street, Hurstville.
