Embark on an exciting beginner's quest with Dungeons and Dragons designed especially for young people. Whether your child is new to role-playing games or has some experience, these sessions offer a welcoming and fun environment to explore creativity and teamwork.
Players aged 10 to 18 will be grouped by age to ensure the best experience. All characters, dice, and snacks are provided, so your child just needs to bring their imagination.
These sessions encourage social interaction, problem-solving, and storytelling, making it a perfect activity for school-aged children looking for an engaging and creative pastime.
The event is split into three sessions by age group:
- Ages 10-12: Friday 17 April 2026, 09:30 - 11:30
- Ages 13-15: Friday 17 April 2026, 13:00 - 17:00
- Ages 16-18: Wednesday 15 April 2026, 13:00 - 17:00
Each session is beginner-friendly, so no prior experience is necessary. Bookings are essential, with one ticket required per participant.
The event is free of charge, making it an accessible option for families wanting to introduce their children to this imaginative game.
The sessions take place at Stanton Library, located at 234 Miller Street, North Sydney, NSW 2060.
Please note the event is held on the Lower Ground Floor. Due to lift maintenance from April to June, access is only possible via one flight of stairs. This is important to consider for those with mobility needs.
Stanton Library is a welcoming community space with easy access to public transport and parking options nearby, making drop-off and pick-up convenient for busy parents.
Due to lift maintenance, the Lower Ground Floor is accessible only by stairs during the event period.
Participants should be prepared for a session lasting between two to four hours depending on the age group.
All materials including characters, dice, and snacks are provided, so children do not need to bring anything except their enthusiasm.
Bookings open on Wednesday 1 April 2026 at 10:00 AM, so early registration is recommended to secure a spot.
This is a free event, funded by North Sydney Council, offering a fantastic opportunity for young people to engage in creative play without cost.
