Mike Hewson’s exhibition transforms the Nelson Packer Tank into a vibrant, interactive space filled with monkey bars, swings, a real sauna and steam room, and a water zone to cool off. It’s a place where visitors of all ages can explore, perform, and make memories together.

This is not just an exhibition but a lively sculptural neighbourhood that invites participation and discovery. Bring your barbeque gear and enjoy the working barbeques on site, making it a perfect outing for families looking for a fun and engaging day.

Activity Details

The exhibition runs from Saturday 4 October 2025 to Sunday 23 August 2026, open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays to Sundays from 10:00 to 17:00, and Wednesdays from 10:00 to 22:00. Note that it will be closed on 24 and 25 December 2025 and 31 December 2025.

Developed from thousands of salvaged materials in Hewson’s Sydney workshop, this project is a radical reimagining of modern sculpture and a welcoming space for all. It’s free to attend and designed to be inclusive for families and children.
