This friendly beginner English conversation class is designed for adult migrants who want to build confidence speaking everyday English. Set in the welcoming Lionel Bowen Library environment in Maroubra, the sessions are ideal for parents and community members looking to improve conversational skills, pronunciation and practical language for daily life.
What to Expect
You’ll find a relaxed, supportive classroom where practical speaking and listening are the focus. Lessons are paced for beginner learners and use real-life topics to make learning useful and immediate for family life, shopping, school drop-offs and community activities.
Teachers use simple, clear language and encourage pair and small-group conversation so everyone gets to practise speaking. Expect gentle correction, helpful feedback and short activities designed to build confidence rather than test knowledge.
Sessions are friendly and inclusive with migrants from many backgrounds welcome. If you’re a busy parent, the mid-morning time suits school drop-off hours and lets you practise English in a calm, focused setting.
