Activity Details
The classes run every Thursday from January 29 to April 2, 2026, between 10:30 and 12:00. Each session lasts 1.5 hours, providing ample time for learning and practice.
The course fee is $18 per term, and bookings are essential. Registration opens on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 9:30 am online. Priority is given to permanent residents of the Local Government Area if demand is high.
Participants must be library members, which is free and easy to join either online or at any library branch. Attendance is limited to one class per person per term, with a maximum of two years enrollment per proficiency level.

Classes take place at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. The venue is accessible and inclusive, with support available for those with access requirements.

Important Information
Participants must be 18 years or older and come from a non-English speaking background. Children are not permitted in the classroom for safety reasons.
By registering, attendees agree to comply with health and safety measures, including Covid-safe protocols. The library reserves the right to cancel tickets for absences without notification or duplicate bookings.
Photos and videos may be taken during sessions for promotional purposes. Notify staff if you do not consent to image use.
Refunds are available for cancellations made at least one day before the event start date, minus Eventbrite fees. Late cancellations are not eligible for refunds.
Booking and Prices
Bookings open online on January 13, 2026, at 9:30 am and must be made through Eventbrite. The cost is $18 per term.
Only one ticket per person is allowed, and tickets are non-transferable. If you cannot attend, please cancel your booking promptly to allow others to participate.
