What to Expect
This engaging weekly class is designed for intermediate level English speakers looking to improve their conversation skills in a supportive environment. Migrants from all non-English speaking backgrounds are warmly welcomed to join and practice speaking English with peers.

Activity Details
The classes run every Tuesday from April 21 to June 30, 2026, with sessions starting at 10:30 and finishing at 12:00. Each term costs $18, and bookings are essential, opening on April 7, 2026, at 09:30.
Participants must be aged 18 or above and come from a non-English speaking background. Registration is limited to one class per person per term, with a maximum of two years enrolment at each proficiency level.
Priority for bookings is given to permanent residents of the Local Government Area if demand is high. Please note children are not permitted in the classroom for safety reasons.
Location and Access
Classes are held at Lionel Bowen Library, located at 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. The library is accessible and committed to supporting participants with access requirements.

Important Information
Participants must be library members to attend; membership is free and can be obtained online or at any branch. The health and safety of attendees is a priority, with Covid-safe measures in place that may be updated.
Refunds are available for cancellations made at least one day before the event, minus Eventbrite fees. Absences without notification may result in ticket cancellation.
Photography and video recording may occur for promotional purposes; notify staff if you do not consent to image use.

Bookings open on April 7, 2026, at 09:30 and must be made online through Eventbrite. The cost is $18 per term, providing excellent value for ongoing language development.
Tickets are non-transferable and limited to one per person. If you cannot attend, please cancel your booking promptly to allow others to participate.
