What to Expect
As a volunteer guide, you will be part of a vibrant team dedicated to enhancing visitor experiences. You can expect to participate in an eight-week training course designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to confidently lead tours. Activity Details
Successful applicants will undertake a training course starting Tuesday 5 May 2026, running weekly until 23 June 2026. Volunteers must obtain a Working with Children Check and commit to a minimum of 24 months guiding at the gallery. An optional information session is available on Tuesday 31 March 2026 at 14:00 or 18:00 for prospective volunteers to learn more and meet the team.
Location and Access
The volunteer program is based at Hazelhurst Arts Centre, located at 782 Kingsway, Gymea NSW. The venue offers disabled access and parking, ensuring a welcoming environment for all volunteers. The gallery is open daily, providing ample opportunity to engage with visitors throughout the week.
