What to Expect
Experience a rewarding morning connecting with nature and your community at Pine Gully Reserve. This family-friendly event offers a hands-on opportunity to help increase native plant species while enjoying fresh air and good company.
Throughout the morning, Habitat Connection Co will run engaging activities suitable for all ages, making it a perfect outing for families. After planting, enjoy a delicious sausage sizzle hosted by the 5049 Coastal Community Association.
Bring your enthusiasm and gardening gloves, and prepare for a fun, educational day outdoors that supports local biodiversity and community spirit.
Activity Details
The event runs from 10:30 to 12:30 on Saturday, 13 June 2026, with registration and a safety briefing starting at 10:15. Participants can stay for as long or as little as they like.
Please bring gardening gloves, a small hand trowel, and water. Wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, closed-toe shoes, safety or optical glasses, and a hat or rain jacket depending on the weather.
All necessary tools and equipment will be provided. Children under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Bookings are essential to ensure adequate equipment and catering.

The planting day takes place at Pine Gully Reserve, located at 22 Kingston Cres, Kingston Park SA 5049, Australia.
This urban nature reserve offers a beautiful setting for outdoor activities and is accessible by car and local transport. Parking is available nearby.
Participants are encouraged to arrive promptly at 10:15 for registration and safety instructions.

This event is free to attend and is funded by Landcare Australia through the Cricket for Climate "Green Games" initiative.
