What to Expect
Ready to wield the magic of storytelling? This engaging workshop invites young writers aged 12 to 14 to dive into the exciting world of fantasy. With guidance from award-winning writer Aylish Dowsett, participants will explore adventure, magic, and monsters, sparking creativity and imagination.
Children will learn how to create their own fantasy creatures, monsters, and characters, and experiment with magical powers and fantastical ideas. This hands-on experience encourages storytelling and adventure crafting in a supportive environment.
No prior writing experience is needed, making it perfect for beginners eager to explore fantasy writing.
Activity Details
This workshop takes place on Saturday, 13 June 2026, from 17:30 to 19:30. Participants only need to bring paper and a pen, as all other materials will be provided.
Bookings are essential due to limited spaces, and late arrivals may be moved to a standby queue. If unable to attend, cancellations should be made at least three hours before the event to avoid future booking refusals.
The session is led by Aylish Dowsett, a seasoned writer and tutor with extensive experience teaching creative writing to young people.
