What to Expect
Start your day with a peaceful and invigorating experience at the South Melbourne Life Saving Club. This weekly event combines yoga meditation, breathwork, mobility exercises, and a refreshing swim, all designed to nurture your body and mind. Each session is unique, inspired by the seasons, elements, and moon cycles, ensuring a fresh and engaging practice every week.
You will begin with a silent meditation on the beach, followed by a mobility-focused yoga flow enhanced with breathwork, and finish with a dip in the water. After the session, enjoy coffee and community chats across the road, fostering connection and support.
This event was created in response to mental health challenges during the pandemic, emphasizing community, connection, and natural wellness through movement and breath.
Activity Details
Arrive by 6:15 AM to settle in and leave your belongings inside. The session starts at 6:30 AM with silent meditation on the beach, followed by a mobility flow with breathwork at 6:40 AM indoors. At 7:20 AM, participants take a swim in the water, and by 7:30 AM, the group heads for coffee and social time.
No prior experience is necessary; all practices are guided and accessible. Bring your yoga mat, towel, swimmers, water bottle, and a bit of love. Wear comfortable layered gym clothes suitable for movement and swimming.
The facilitator, Eliza Hilmer, is a highly experienced yoga teacher blending Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Kriya, Meditation, Breathwork, and Mobility to create a transformative and supportive environment.
Location and Access
The sessions take place at the South Melbourne Life Saving Club, located at 72B Beaconsfield Parade, Albert Park, VIC 3206. The venue offers stunning views and direct beach access for the swim.
The location is accessible by driving, public transport, biking, or walking. After the session, participants can easily cross the road for coffee and community interaction.

Important Information
This event is donation-based with a suggested minimum donation of $15 to cover costs and support the South Melbourne Life Saving Volunteers, who receive 30% of proceeds. Donations can range from $10 to $30, making it an affordable wellness option.
If you are experiencing hardship, these classes are available as a gift—just reach out to the organizer.
The event is designed to boost mental health naturally through breathwork, movement, and community connection, promoting hormones that enhance mood and reduce anxiety.
Booking and Prices
Bookings are recommended but not mandatory. The event operates on an honesty donation model with suggested donations starting at $15 to sustain the program and support volunteers.
