What to Expect
Enjoy lively and engaging rhyme time sessions designed especially for toddlers and their parents. These interactive gatherings are full of music, movement, and fun, helping little ones develop early literacy skills while making library visits a joyful routine. It's also a wonderful chance for parents to connect with others in the community.
The sessions are high energy and encourage participation, making it a perfect way to spend a morning with your child. Expect lots of singing, clapping, and playful activities that stimulate your toddler’s imagination and social skills.
Activity Details
Each session lasts one hour, running from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Mondays. The program is designed to be inclusive and supportive, with guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all children and carers. Parents and carers must supervise their children at all times, ensuring they stay within sight.
Children are encouraged to interact with staff and other participants, but if you prefer your child to stay close to you, that is perfectly fine. Photography is managed sensitively, with staff happy to accommodate any requests regarding your child’s participation in photos or physical interactions.
Location and Access
The sessions take place at the Boonah Cultural Centre, located at 3 High St, Boonah QLD 4310. This child-friendly venue is welcoming and accessible, providing a safe space for families to enjoy quality time together. The centre is easy to find and offers a comfortable environment for both parents and children.
Public transport and parking options are available nearby, making it convenient for families to attend regularly. The library setting encourages a love of books and learning, complementing the rhyme time activities perfectly.
Important Information
Supervision is essential: children under 10 must be within sight of a responsible adult aged 18 or over at all times. Please respect personal boundaries by asking permission before engaging with children who are not your own.
If you prefer your child not to be included in photographs or to avoid physical interactions like handshakes or high-fives, inform the staff so they can ensure your preferences are respected.
The library aims to create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable space for everyone, built on trust and respect. Your cooperation helps maintain this positive environment.
