What to Expect
Step into a world of colour and creativity with gel plate printing, where image transfer becomes a little bit magic. This hands-on workshop is designed to break down the process into simple, easy-to-follow steps so you can confidently create your own prints. You'll learn how to select the right images and paints, and master the full process from preparing your image to pulling a finished print. Whether you're a complete beginner or just looking to try something new, this workshop offers a welcoming and supportive environment.
Activity Details
This workshop is suitable for anyone aged 16 years and over, with no prior experience needed. All materials are provided, so just bring your enthusiasm and wear something you don’t mind getting paint on. The session is facilitated by Mary-Helen Daly, a local artist and qualified Transpersonal Art Therapist & Counsellor, who will guide you through every step.
You will learn to:
- Choose images that work well for transfer
- Select and apply the right type of paint
- Create an image transfer using a gel plate
- Pull a finished print
Location and Access
The workshop takes place at the Clive James Library and Service Centre, located in Kogarah Town Square on Belgrave Street, Kogarah. The venue is accessible and welcoming, providing a comfortable space for creativity.
Public transport options and parking are available nearby, making it easy to attend after work or school. The library is committed to inclusivity and encourages attendees to communicate any access needs in advance.
Important Information
Participants must be aged 16 years or older. Please arrive on time, as arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in your spot being given to someone on the standby list. If you cannot attend, kindly cancel your registration at least 3 hours before the event to allow others to join.
