GLAM offers a warm and inclusive environment where young LGBTIQA+ individuals aged 12 to 17 can connect, relax, and be themselves. This social group provides snacks, drinks, and a variety of engaging activities including facilitated games and workshops designed to foster community and support.
The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, making it easy for young people to make new friends and access helpful resources. Whether you're looking to meet peers or simply enjoy a safe space, GLAM is the perfect spot.
Parents can feel reassured knowing their children are in a supportive environment run by experienced youth workers.
The group meets every second Monday from 16:30 to 18:30, providing a consistent and reliable opportunity for social connection. There is no need to register or RSVP; young people can simply show up and join in.
The sessions are facilitated by a Twenty10 Youth Engagement Officer and a volunteer, ensuring professional support and a friendly atmosphere.
This event is specifically for young people aged 12 to 17 who identify as LGBTIQA+.
GLAM takes place at the Manly Youth and Community Centre located on Kangaroo Street, Manly (Gayamagal) NSW 2095. The venue is wheelchair accessible and includes accessible bathrooms.
Please note the centre is situated on a hill, so if assistance is needed entering the space, participants or their families are encouraged to reach out.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to wait outside during the sessions for privacy and comfort of the young people.
