It’s never too early to start learning about how to protect the planet by eliminating waste! This engaging workshop invites children to explore the benefits of avoiding waste, recycling, composting, reusing, and sharing in a fun and interactive way.
Children aged 4 to 8 years will enjoy hands-on activities that introduce important environmental concepts. The workshop is designed to be both educational and entertaining, encouraging young minds to think about sustainability and their role in protecting the planet.
Participants will discover practical ways to reduce waste at home and in their communities, guided by friendly and knowledgeable hosts from Keep Australia Beautiful NSW. Parents and guardians are encouraged to stay and support their children throughout the session.
This workshop is hosted by Keep Australia Beautiful NSW in collaboration with Sutherland Shire Waste Services and Sutherland Shire Libraries. It is suitable for children aged 4 to 8 years and requires prior booking as each child needs a ticket.
The session lasts for one hour and includes interactive discussions and creative activities focused on waste avoidance and sustainability. It’s a perfect way to keep kids engaged and learning during the school holidays.
The event takes place at Miranda Library, a welcoming community space equipped with all the facilities needed for a comfortable and accessible experience.
Miranda Library is located within the Sutherland Shire and is easily accessible by public transport and car. Parents and guardians must remain in the library during the event to ensure a safe environment for all children.
Attendance is limited to Sutherland Shire residents only. Bookings are essential to secure a place for each child. Parents or guardians must stay on-site during the workshop.
Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time for check-in and settling in. The workshop is designed to be inclusive and supportive, welcoming children of all backgrounds and abilities.
This is a free event, but places are limited and must be booked in advance. Each child requires their own ticket to participate.
