The International Rainbow Girls is a vibrant youth service organisation dedicated to empowering girls through leadership training and community service. For over 50 years, this group has been a cornerstone of the Mitcham community, fostering personal growth and civic responsibility among young members aged 7 to 20.
At each monthly meeting, girls engage in activities that build leadership skills, teamwork, and community awareness. The group is currently involved in a special museum project celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Hawthorn Masonic Centre, enriching members' connection to local heritage.
Meetings occur on the first Friday of every month from 19:00 to 21:00 at the Hawthorn Masonic Centre. The sessions include structured leadership exercises, community service planning, and social activities designed to nurture confidence and responsibility.
The Hawthorn Masonic Centre is located at 6 Wattle Avenue, Lower Mitcham, SA 5062. The venue is accessible by local transport and offers a welcoming environment for new members and their families.
