Step into a world of creativity and exploration designed especially for little adventurers. Into the Box offers a variety of engaging activities that spark curiosity and encourage children to imagine, move, create, discover, and play. This free event is perfect for families looking for fun, educational entertainment during the school holidays.
Children can enjoy interactive storytelling sessions filled with song and dance, vibrant face painting to transform into their favourite characters, balloon bending demonstrations that create playful shapes, and a creative colouring space to inspire budding artists. Each activity is crafted to develop fine and gross motor skills while building confidence through imaginative play.
This event is ideal for children aged 1 and above, with face painting recommended for ages 3+. Parents can relax nearby with a coffee or hot chocolate while the kids enjoy tasty combo deals including nuggets and chips.
- Storytime sessions at 11:00, 12:00, and 13:00, each lasting approximately 30 minutes.
- Face painting available from 09:00 to 12:00.
- Balloon bending from 11:00 to 14:00.
- Colouring and creative play open from 09:00 to 14:00.
Children will explore their five senses, engage in singing, dancing, and movement, discover new stories and characters, and have opportunities to make new friends in a welcoming environment. This is a hands-on experience that encourages active participation and joyful learning.
The activities take place in the Riverside Theatres Courtyard, located at the corner of Church and Market Street, Parramatta. The venue is wheelchair accessible and offers companion card acceptance and assistive hearing systems (FM).
Parking is available nearby, and there are places to eat and drink within the venue for added convenience. Families are encouraged to attend before or after experiencing the production of "Where is the Green Sheep?" for a full day of entertainment.
This event is free to attend and does not require bookings; families can simply drop in and enjoy the activities. Activities may be subject to change without notice. The event is hosted by ME Productions Pty Ltd and is part of the Spot On Children's Festival.
