Step into a vibrant community where young people aged 12 to 18 come together to make a difference. The Belmore Youth Crew offers a unique opportunity to collaborate on projects that matter, from planning exciting events to creating engaging media content. It's a chance to build friendships, develop leadership skills, and have fun in a supportive environment.
Participants will work as a team to choose and lead projects that inspire them. Activities include:
- Planning and running community events
- Creating media content
- Collaborating on youth-led initiatives
Sessions are held every Wednesday from 16:15 to 17:45 during school Terms 3 and 4, providing a consistent and engaging after-school activity.
The program takes place at the Belmore Youth Resource Centre, located at 3/38-40 Redman Parade, Belmore 2192. The centre is easily accessible and designed to be a welcoming space where young people feel safe and empowered.
This program is free of charge and specifically designed for young people aged 12-18. It offers a valuable chance to gain volunteering hours, build essential skills in leadership, teamwork, and creativity, and make your voice heard in the community. Parents can feel confident knowing their children are engaged in a positive and structured environment.
Participation is free. Interested young people or their parents can register by contacting the centre directly via email or phone. Early registration is encouraged to secure a spot in this popular program.
