Experience the joy of crafting with others while contributing to a heartwarming cause. Whether you are an experienced knitter or just starting out, this group welcomes all skill levels to create knitted squares that will be made into warm wraps.
The wraps are sent globally to help communities stay warm, making your knitting efforts truly impactful. Bring your creativity and enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to bond over a meaningful activity that teaches kindness and community spirit.
The group meets weekly at Concord Library from late January through June 2026. Sessions run every Wednesday from 14:00 to 16:00, providing a consistent time to gather and knit.
Participants should bring 8 ply yarn and size 8 or 4mm knitting needles. Completed squares, wraps, wool donations, and knitting needles can also be dropped off at Concord and Five Dock libraries.
No bookings are required, making it easy to join whenever your schedule allows. The event is free, encouraging everyone to participate without any cost barriers.
The knitting sessions take place at Concord Library, a welcoming community space easily accessible by public transport and with parking nearby.
The library is located in the City of Canada Bay area, known for its friendly community vibe and supportive local services.
This central location makes it convenient for families living in and around the region to attend regularly.
Please bring your own 8 ply yarn and knitting needles (size 8 or 4mm) to participate fully in the knitting activities.
The group supports a non-profit organisation, Wrap with Love, dedicated to making warm wraps for those in need worldwide.
Concord and Five Dock libraries serve as drop-off points for donations and completed knitting projects, helping to sustain the initiative.
For any questions or further information, contact Concord Library directly.
This is a free community event with no bookings required, making it easy for busy parents to drop in when convenient.
All materials except yarn and needles are provided, and donations of wool and knitting supplies are welcomed to support the cause.
Enjoy a cost-free, rewarding activity that benefits others while fostering community connections and creativity.
