Immerse yourself in nature and community with the Ladies Pool Bushcare group, a welcoming women's only volunteer program focused on bush regeneration and aesthetic gardening. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents who want to engage in meaningful outdoor activities while contributing to the environment.
You will be working alongside council Bushcare officers to maintain the grounds of the iconic McIvers Ladies’ Pool and help regenerate the surrounding bushland. Activities include weeding, replanting native plants, and stabilising steep slopes to preserve the natural beauty of the area.
This group meets monthly, providing a consistent and rewarding way to connect with nature and other like-minded volunteers in a supportive environment.
The group meets every third Thursday of the month from 09:00 to 12:00, with a seasonal adjustment during daylight savings to 08:00 to 11:00. The program runs until 17 December 2026, offering plenty of opportunities to get involved.
Volunteers participate in a mix of aesthetic gardening and bush regeneration tasks, which are suitable for a range of fitness levels and gardening experience.
Please note this is a women-only group, ensuring a comfortable and focused environment for participants.
The activities take place at McIvers Ladies’ Pool, Coogee, a beautiful coastal location easily accessible by public transport and car. The pool is a well-known landmark, making it easy to find.
The site offers a scenic outdoor setting perfect for enjoying fresh air and natural surroundings while volunteering.
