What to Expect
Get ready for an exciting LEGO adventure designed especially for children aged 7 to 12. Participants will build their own treasure map and LEGO driving base, then code their creation to navigate through a maze and collect treasure trophies. The challenge is perfect for young builders and coders who love hands-on activities and problem-solving.
This event encourages creativity, logical thinking, and teamwork in a supportive environment. The fastest participant to collect all trophies will be declared the winner, adding a fun competitive edge to the experience.
Activity Details
During the two-hour session, children will:
- Construct their treasure map
- Build their LEGO treasure hunter vehicle
- Program their vehicle to navigate the maze and collect trophies
The workshop includes a 10-minute arrival and 10-minute pack-up time. Registration is required, and each participant is limited to one registration per day for multi-session programs.
Location and Access
The event takes place at Bonnyrigg Library, located at 100 Bonnyrigg Avenue, Bonnyrigg NSW 2177. The library is easily accessible and provides a welcoming space for children and their guardians.
Guardians of children under 12 must remain on the library premises for the duration of the program. It is recommended that all attendees are members of the Fairfield City Open Libraries, with free membership available online.
Important Information
Please ensure children are within the recommended age range of 7-12 years. Guardians must be at least 16 years old and remain on-site during the event. The library maintains a respectful and positive environment; inappropriate behavior may result in removal.
Photography may occur during the event for promotional purposes. If you do not consent to photography, please notify staff upon arrival. Workshops may be rescheduled or canceled due to low enrolment or unforeseen circumstances, with notifications sent via email.
