What to Expect
This welcoming group offers a safe space for carers to connect, share stories, and support each other through the emotional and practical changes that follow the end of a caring role. Whether the person you cared for has improved, moved, or passed away, this group understands the unique challenges you face.
Led by Peer Facilitator Sheila, you will find empathy and understanding among others who truly get what you are experiencing. It’s a chance to feel less alone and gain strength from shared experiences.
You can expect a warm, confidential environment where your feelings and journey are respected and supported.
Activity Details
The group meets on Fridays from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at 15-17 Kitchener St, East Toowoomba. Sessions are scheduled for October 23, November 6, and November 20, 2026.
Each session focuses on exploring the emotional shifts and practical adjustments that come with life after caring. Discussions are guided but informal, allowing you to participate as much as you feel comfortable.
This is a free event designed to provide ongoing peer support rather than formal therapy.
