Life After Caring Group offers a compassionate and understanding environment for carers who are navigating the emotional and practical changes that come when their caring role concludes. Whether the person you cared for has improved, moved, or passed away, this group provides a safe space to share experiences and find support.
You will meet with Peer Facilitator Sheila and other carers who understand your journey. The sessions focus on emotional support and practical advice to help you adjust to your new life circumstances. Expect a welcoming atmosphere where you can openly discuss your feelings and challenges.
- Sessions run for one hour from 14:00 to 15:00.
- Held on Fridays with upcoming dates on 2026-09-04, 2026-09-18, and 2026-10-16.
- Suitable for carers who have recently ended their caring role.
The group meets at 15-17 Kitchener St, East Toowoomba QLD 4350. The venue is accessible and located within the Toowoomba region, making it convenient for local carers to attend.
This is a peer support group facilitated by Carer Gateway. It is designed to provide emotional and practical support in a confidential and respectful setting. Participants are encouraged to share but can also simply listen and learn from others.
